Your personal music journey accompanied by Lisa Goodrich at
DANCING HANDS PIANOÂ STUDIO
Whether you’re looking for a serious commitment or simply want to learn something new, I've been helping students of all ages work towards their goals since 2000.  I will bring you personalized attention. With your commitment to regular practice using techniques you will learn, you can reach your full potential.

MY EDUCATION AND BACKGROUND
I'm an active member of the local and state affiliations of the Music Teachers National Association, and the American College of Musicians. I hold a BA in Music with High Honors from the University of Montana. Prior to opening my studio, I taught French K-AP levels. I hold an MA in French from Middlebury College. Post degree work has included a Childhood Psychology class at St Mike's and a Music Education class at UVM. I attend annual workshops through local and regional affiliations with the MTNA. I have served on the local and state boards for this organization.

STUDIO POLICIES
School year lessons consist of 35 lessons. The studio opens the Tuesday after Labor Day. Currently, 45-minute lessons are $98 a month. (Recommended for students 9 and older.) Half hour lessons are $78 a month. (Recommended for those 8 and younger.) I consider school year lessons as a 10-month contract with exceptions for beginners who request to "try it" for a couple of months before committing and for those joining mid-year. The monthly amounts listed above are paid September through June.
To reserve a place for the following year, a non-refundable downpayment is requested by July 7th. It comprises half of the September payment upfront plus a $45.00 fee for library maintenance and recitals.
Summer lessons are paid upfront at a per lesson rate of $28 for a 45 minute lesson or $22.30 for a 30 minute lesson. Because the schedule is self-designed to accommodate your personal plans and my availability, requests should include days/dates and windows of time you are available. I fulfill the requests on a first come first served basis.
Make-up lessons should be scheduled within a week of a missed lesson. Otherwise, it may be forfeited. That said, I do my utmost to make sure that students receive all 35 lessons.
